"Tucked follows drag artist Jada Shada Hudson over the course of a few weeks at Toronto queer bars. With its focus on Jada, the series explores drag as an intersection of performance, identity, and work / livelihood. I wanted the photos to straddle two perspectives, one familiar and public (the audience, the stage) and the other typically private or unseen (backstage). In the series, both perspectives share an intense (sometimes unsettling) scrutiny of the performing body."
